The Corporate Planning Department is a department that is saddled with the responsibilities of governing, strategizing, monitoring and evaluation of all functional areas related to the activities of GGINL.

Responsibilities

  • Collect quantitative and qualitative market data from multiple sources (public reports, regulator publications, industry associations, digital platforms, agents, internal systems, etc.).
  • Conduct surveys and interviews (internal/external) to gather customer insights, market trends, product feedback, and competitor activities.
  • Maintain an up-to-date database of competitor information, including product features, pricing, campaigns, branch expansion, and market changes.
  • Analyze customer segments, product performance, and distribution movements, and prepare clear summaries with insights.
  • Contribute to SWOT, PESTLE, and other strategic analysis frameworks.
  • Assist in drafting strategic initiatives and tracking the progress of company-level projects.
  • Assist with surveys, data gathering, and internal research activities.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly competitor intelligence reports for Management and Committee.
  • Provide quick competitor snapshots for urgent requests from Management.
  • Support any ad-hoc strategic or research tasks assigned by the manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in market research, data analytics, business analysis, or related areas (insurance/financial services preferred).
  • Basic understanding of market research methods (surveys, interviews, data interpretation).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify insights.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (required).
  • Familiarity with business analysis tools (SWOT, PESTLE, KPI analysis) is an advantage.
  • Good command of English (reading, writing, and communication).
  • Curious, detail-oriented, and proactive in learning.
